The competition in the tech world is heating up as the year comes to a close, with AMD working on a new technology that is claimed to rival NVIDIA’s DLSS, utilizing artificial intelligence.
Recently, AMD has been developing its latest technology aimed at competing with NVIDIA’s DLSS, which will be integrated into the widely used FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR).
According to information sourced from GPUOpen, AMD is advancing a new technology that is said to directly compete with NVIDIA’s AI-based upscaling and denoising technology, DLSS.
In recent years, DLSS has proven effective in enhancing performance without sacrificing the capabilities of a graphics card. However, AMD has not remained idle; it launched FSR, even though it had certain shortcomings compared to its competitor, particularly in terms of denoising.
With continuous updates, AMD has reached a point where it plans to leverage AI technology to significantly boost graphics card performance. This new technology is expected not only to enhance graphics card efficiency but also to improve power consumption.
By integrating this new technology into FSR, AMD hopes that its solution to challenge NVIDIA’s DLSS will operate more smoothly, given that it aims to enhance image quality and reduce noise in images produced by ray tracing.
Unfortunately, there has been no announcement regarding when this latest AMD technology will be available to the community. It’s possible that this technology, which is said to rival DLSS, may be ready for use by the end of this year or even early next year.
