Is Intel’s Battlemage GPU Coming Next Month?

Rumors suggest Intel may unveil its latest desktop GPU from the Battlemage series next month. Leaks circulating on Weibo hint that this new GPU could arrive soon.

Intel Battlemage GPU Specifications Leaked

The leaked specs hint at 12 GB VRAM, 20 Xe cores, and a boosted clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz. This performance level is expected to match up with Intel’s Arc A770, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060, and AMD’s Radeon RX 7600.

Intel seems eager to release this GPU ahead of AMD and Nvidia’s next-gen releases, anticipated at CES 2025. With this move, Intel aims to capture attention before competitors roll out their new products.

Leaks indicate Intel plans to launch two Battlemage variants: the BMG G21, aimed at the entry-level segment, and the BMG G31, featuring 16 GB of VRAM, targeting the mid-range market. This strategy underscores Intel’s ambition to challenge Nvidia and AMD’s stronghold in the GPU space.

However, questions remain about whether Intel’s Battlemage GPUs can truly compete. Success here could be crucial, as it may also determine the future of Intel’s subsequent GPU project, Celestial.
