Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 15 series, featuring two models: the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Both models showcase improved performance with the latest flagship SoC and continue Xiaomi’s focus on camera excellence, backed by their renowned Leica partnership.
Both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This is paired with an enlarged Vapor Chamber cooling system to enhance and maintain high performance.
Xiaomi 15
This model measures 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.08 mm and weighs 191g, making it a bit heavier than its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14. It boasts a 6.36-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,670 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen brightness reaches up to 3,200 nits, and it supports DC dimming for enhanced visual comfort. Additionally, it features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for quicker and more precise recognition.
The frame is made from high-strength aluminum, offering 33% better bend resistance. It is also protected by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass, claimed to be 10 times stronger than Gorilla Glass Victus, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
For memory, options include 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. It packs a 5,400mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, larger than the previous model.
Its camera system includes three 50MP sensors. The main camera uses an OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor, with a 1/1.31” sensor size, 1.2µm pixels, f/1.62 aperture, and OIS, offering lossless zoom capabilities.
The telephoto lens features a 60mm focal length, allowing for macro shots as close as 4cm. Meanwhile, the ultra-wide lens has a 115° (14mm) perspective with an f/2.2 aperture. For video, it supports 8K recording at 30fps and 4K at 30/60fps, with Dolby Vision HDR.
In terms of power, it has a 5,400mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
Color options include Lilac, Green, Black, and White.
Xiaomi 15 Pro
The Xiaomi 15 Pro comes with a larger 6.73-inch LTPO OLED display, featuring a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. It boasts a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits and an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz.
An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor offers fast, accurate, and secure scanning, even when fingers are wet or dirty.
Its display is also reinforced with Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, providing greater protection against scratches and impacts.
Memory configurations include 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage choices of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
The camera setup on this model also consists of triple 50MP sensors. The main camera features the OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor, with a 1/1.31” sensor size, 1.2µm pixels, f/1.62 aperture, and OIS.
For telephoto shots, the Pro model has a periscope telephoto lens with a Sony IMX858 sensor and up to 5x optical zoom. This lens also doubles as a tele-macro lens, enabling detailed close-up shots.
An ultra-wide 50MP lens with a 14mm focal length provides a broader field of view, ideal for landscape or group photos.
The 15 Pro is powered by a larger 6,100mAh battery, outpacing competitors like the Vivo X200 Pro, which has a 6,000mAh battery. Charging options include 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Available colors for the Xiaomi 15 Pro include Grey, White, Green, and a special Rock Silver variant with a unique 3D water ripple effect for a more premium look.
Both Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro run on Android 15, customized with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, providing a smoother, more intuitive, and efficient user experience.

Xiaomi has also released a limited Diamond Edition, featuring a crocodile-patterned leather back and a real 57-facet diamond along the device’s edge. The camera module is adorned with a sparkling finish. Available in colors like Elephant Gray, Orange, and Glacier White, this special edition may not be available internationally.
