As we know, Xiaomi is currently gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 15 Series. Recently, this smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking site, achieving quite impressive scores. Curious? Let’s dive into the details.
Xiaomi 15 Benchmark Results
According to findings from MySmartPrice, a device identified by the model number 24129PN74C, which is strongly believed to be the Xiaomi 15, has scored 3180 in single-core performance and 10058 in multi-core performance. This marks a significant improvement compared to the Xiaomi 14, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. For context, our tests showed that the Xiaomi 14 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 recorded a score of 2134 in single-core and 6855 in multi-core tests.
Moreover, the benchmark results indicate that this SoC features an 8-core configuration, comprising 2 cores at 4.32 GHz and 6 cores at 3.53 GHz. Additionally, the smartphone appears to come pre-installed with Android 15 as its operating system.
The Xiaomi 15 Series is expected to launch in three model variants: the standard Xiaomi 15, the 15 Pro, and the top-tier 15 Ultra. This new flagship series could be the first to utilize Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset or SoC. A launch event in China is anticipated for October 2024, with a global release planned for early 2025.
It’s worth noting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The reason for this naming change stems from significant modifications in the CPU architecture, as Qualcomm’s new chipset now employs Qualcomm Oryon CPU cores.
