Summary of Genshin Impact Version 3.5: Dehya Enters the Standard Banner

Dehya will be accompanied by Cyno in the first phase, followed by Ayaka, Shenhe, and Mika in the second phase.

After the conclusion of the Lantern Rite celebration and the Traveler’s journey in Sumeru, players will return to Mondstadt to celebrate the Windblume festival. What’s different from previous Windblume celebrations is that this time a number of characters from Sumeru will also join in the festivities in Mondstadt.

In the same version, Dehya and Mika will make their debut as playable characters. Genshin Impact version 3.5 is expected to start on March 1st, 2023. Here’s a summary of Genshin Impact version 3.5:

New Characters and Weapons

In the first phase, the character banner will be filled by Dehya and Cyno. This marks Cyno’s first rerun. And surprisingly, Genshin Impact announced that Dehya is not a limited character and will be added to the Standard Banner after the 3.6 update.

Then in the second phase, the character banner will be filled by Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe as 5-star characters, and also by Mika as a new 4-star character.
Dehya’s signature weapon will also be introduced in this version, which is the Beacon of the Reed Sea. In addition to that weapon, players will also have the opportunity to get a free claymore after completing an event.

New Quest

To delve deeper into Dehya’s background, a Story Quest will be introduced. Dunyazard, Dehya’s client and friend who was mentioned in the Sumeru Archon Quest, will also appear in this story.

After a long time, Dansleif will finally return to continue the Archon Quest. The main quest this time is titled “Caribert,” which seems to refer to a new character believed to have an important role in the story.

Although released in version 3.3, little is known about a character named Faruzan. Therefore, the Hangout series will continue for the Faruzan series in the future.

New Enemies

There are two new types of enemies that will be introduced in version 3.5 update, namely:

Most likely both of them will be introduced to the Spiral Abyss in future iterations.

Events:

Here are some interesting events that will be included in version 3.5:

Windblume’s Breath

The main event in this version is the Windblume Festival celebrated in Mondstadt. In addition to presenting interesting interactions between characters, players can also play a number of unique mini-games with various rewards. The main prize in this event is a claymore up to refinement level 5.

Some of the mini-games included in the Windblume Festival event are:

1.A ball-collecting game similar to Pac-Man

2.A rhythm game that features OST from various characters

3.A challenge to take pictures of landscapes according to requests

Vibro-Crystal Verification

There is also a combat challenge that requires players to assemble 2 teams. In each challenge, players can choose a number of buffs that will help them complete the challenge. A number of trial characters are also provided for players to try out.

Fungus Mechanicus

The tower defense event in Genshin Impact will return. However, this time players will use Fungi to attack the towers. The Fungi provided have various abilities and attacks, so players need to assemble the right team composition.

 Spices from West: Northerly Search

The cooking and food crafting event will also return in this version. To produce the desired dish, players must pour the specified ingredients and at the right time.

Ley Line Overflow

And to conclude version 3.5, Ley Line Overflow will be held again to give players additional Mora or Exp books.

Update Genius Invokation TCG

There will be 3 new character cards that will be added to the Genius Invocation TCG, namely Sangonomiya Kokomi, Eula, and Kujou Sara. The Heated Battle mode will also receive adjustments by applying new rules, so that the game tempo will be faster.

New Features:

After the version 3.5 update, players will receive 1 Intertwined Fate for each completed Archon Quest. If a player has completed all Archon Quests up to version 3.4, then they will receive around 22 Intertwined Fates that can be used for gacha.

Collaboration with Twitch Prime

Genshin Impact has announced that they will be partnering with Twitch to give players a number of rewards, with the main reward being a unique Glider. If you are interested, you can check it out here.

Collaboration with Pizza Hut

Additionally, Genshin Impact has also announced a collaboration with Pizza Hut. Unfortunately, this collaboration is currently only available in China. However, to obtain the in-game rewards, Genshin Impact may hold a global version of the collaboration in the future, similar to what they did when they collaborated with KFC.
