Google Enhances Quick Share on Windows for Faster Transfers!

Google has finally addressed a major limitation with Quick Share on Windows, allowing faster file transfers without requiring both the PC and Android phone to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Previously, Quick Share on Windows would default to Bluetooth if the PC and phone were not on the same Wi-Fi, leading to very slow transfer speeds, around 60-80KB/s.

Now, with Google’s recent quiet update, Quick Share leverages Wi-Fi Direct, allowing for significantly faster transfers even if the devices aren’t on the same Wi-Fi network.

The PC automatically creates a hotspot, so all you need to do is enable Wi-Fi on your computer, enabling Quick Share transfers at optimal speeds of up to 40MB/s or even faster, depending on your Wi-Fi capabilities.

In our test of the latest Quick Share version, transferring files from a Windows PC to an Android device was quick, even without a shared Wi-Fi network. The PC creates a hotspot, which the phone connects to automatically.

This feature is especially useful when you’re on the go and can’t access the same Wi-Fi network for both devices, making Quick Share more versatile and hassle-free!
