Monday, XSEED Games made an announcement regarding the upcoming release of Trinity Trigger, a highly anticipated fantasy action role-playing game developed by FuRyu and Three Rings. The game is set to launch on May 16 in North America for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will also be released in Europe and Australia on the same day by Marvelous Europe. Trinity Trigger was originally launched in Japan on September 15 and boasts an impressive team of designers and composers.
The game’s “worldview visuals” were designed by Nobuteru Yuki, famous for designing characters for the popular anime, Escaflowne. Raita Kazama, who has worked on popular titles such as Puzzle & Dragons and Xenoblade, designed the game’s characters. Yūra Kubota, who worked on Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default II, was in charge of the scenario. The game’s music was composed by Hiroki Kikuta, well-known for his work on Secret of Mana. Domerica provided animation for the game.
Trinity Trigger also features “Trigger Designers” Atsuko Nishida, Tomohiro Kitakaze, and Megumi Mizutani, who have worked on the popular Pokémon franchise. The game’s developers’ aim is to bring back the feeling of classic 90s RPGs while providing players with a modern gaming experience. Trinity Trigger can be played with up to three players and promises to evoke feelings of discovery, excitement, elation, and tension.
